Merry Christmas!

Emma's first Christmas has been busy and fun. Last night, we had Christmas with the Stegners. Of course, Emma had more fun with the bows and the paper, but we had a great time watching her open all of her gifts. Last night, we set out cookies and milk for Santa, who brought lots of fun toys for our little girl. Today, we spent the day with the Paz family and Emma had another fun day of opening gifts and spending time with family.

A Day With Matthew

I took Emma over to see Matthew and Amber today. Emma was so excited and took a good, long, two-and-a-half hour nap so that she would be ready to play. Matthew and Emma exchanged Christmas presents, had lunch, and played. Whew! It was a busy afternoon!

Sitting in Matthew's Bumbo for old times sake while inspecting her Christmas gift.
Matthew isn't so sure about this
Ok, I guess you're all right!
I take that back...
Mom? She's holding my hand!
He's fun Mom!
Teaching Matthew how to blow raspberries
Having fun with her friend
Emma was insistent on holding Matthew's hand. She's such a sweet girl.

Picking Up the Slack

Since Mommy is so busy, I thought I would help her out and post today's blog. I don't have the correct form yet, but my finger span is only three inches. I'll get the hang of it soon! I love the computer...there are lots of pictures of a really cute girl on Mommy's desktop. I wonder who she is? There's also lots of buttons to push and I bet if I try hard enough, I could get the whole thing into my mouth. Mommy says I have to eat my breakfast now, so I promise to type again soon!
Love,
Emma

Emma's First Snow

It actually snowed in Tennessee! We were excited to see Emma's reaction.

She wasn't sure what to think at first.
Ok, I like it!

First Thanksgiving

The three of us celebrated Thanksgiving at home and enjoyed a delicious dinner.
Later in the afternoon, we went to Fantasy of Trees to see the lights and visit Santa.  Technically, this was Emma's second visit to the Fantasy of Trees.  The last time she went, she was just "Peanut."

She did really well with Santa.  At first, she was really interested in him and curious about his beard.  But when they took a picture with the bright flash, her curiosity quickly changed to terror.

We also took Emma on the carousel.  She liked the lights and music, but I think she got a little dizzy.
We had great fun together celebrating Emma's first Thanksgiving.  We're excited to start new family traditions.
