Summer is in Full Swing!

Boy, did summer come on with a vengeance! We have had record breaking temperatures here and it's all we can do to keep from melting on the spot.

We have been making a lot of progress on our summer bucket list. Emma is after us all the time to do something on the list. She doesn't know what's on it, but she knows it will be fun!

Aunt Tonia and Aunt Kimi invited us over to help pick tomatoes. Emma caught on fast and loved searching for the best ones.

Sophia caught on quickly too and loved helping out her big sis.

We had our good friends over for a BBQ and to make homemade ice cream in a bag for the kids. I pinned the recipe and tutorial from this website and it turned out great. The kids liked shaking the bag for about 2 seconds and then they just wanted the ice cream to be done.

Luckily, the adults were able to pick up the slack. We worked off our ice cream before we ate it!

Summer Bucket List

It seems as if everyone has been talking about a summer bucket list lately.  Having something tangible to document your plans for the summer is such a great way to have a visual reminder of the fun things you want to do and the great memories you have already made. I've seen lots of variations on Pinterest; rocks with ideas painted onto them, a clothesline with index cards, and good old-fashioned paper lists.

The author of one of my favorite blogs, Loves of Life, created an amazing bucket list printable for the fall and winter. My family loved checking off the boxes as we completed each item on the list. I decided to make my own version for the summer.

I made it specifically for my family, so it's geared toward young children, but I'd love to share it with you and your family. All you have to do is click the link below to download, print out, and put it somewhere visible. We put ours in a frame and use a dry erase marker to check off the list. If you trim up the edges it fits nicely into an 8x10 frame.
